Millwood Tosses 1-Hitter In Trenton Debut

By Larry Barnes | Yankees 'n More
Kevin Millwood made his 2011 Double-A debut today for the Trenton Thunder and could not have been more impressive.

In the first half of a double header, Millwood pitched a seven-inning, complete-game 1-hitter against Harrisburg. The veteran right-hander threw 88 or 89 pitches, depending on which report you believe, 53 or 54 of them for strikes.

Following the game, Millwood said he was happy with almost everything except four walks and his curveball, which he said is always the last pitch to come around. He said he was unaware of where he would go from here.
